Greg Annino holds the LIU Post baseball record for the highest batting average in a single season at .481.

In 2014, Vaughn Allen shattered the school’s all-time rebounding record. He finished with a career total of 904 boards.

Eivind Austboe holds the LIU Post men’s soccer record for most goals in a single season with 24.

Head Field Hockey Coach Raenee Savin is the program’s all-time winningest coach. She has posted a 135-104 record since her debut in 2003.

In 2014, LIU Post cross country runners Mike Scott and Talya Williams qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championships. Scott was the first men’s qualifier since 1980, while Williams was the first-ever qualifier in program history.

The LIU Post women’s lacrosse program has won four NCAA Division II National Championships – 2001, 2007, 2012 & 2013.

Since 2005, the LIU Post football team holds a record of 9-2 on Homecoming. They have outscored their opponents by a 375-227 count in those games.

Garee Bryant of the LIU Post men’s basketball team set a single-game record with 47 points against Southampton in 1998.

Matty Beccaris of the LIU Post men’s lacrosse team broke the career goals record that was held for 51 years by Tom Postel. He tallied 146 goals from 2013-16.

LIU Post has won a combined total of 21 National Championships, 10 of which have come from cross country and track and field.

The LIU Post women’s volleyball team made its longest postseason run in 2013, capturing the program’s first-ever NCAA Division II East Region Championship.

The LIU Post field hockey team reached the NCAA Division II National Championship game in back-to-back seasons – 2013 and 2014.

Carlee Dragon holds the LIU Post field hockey career goals record with 82.

In 2013-14, the LIU Post women’s basketball team achieved the greatest finish in program history, as it reached the NCAA Division II East Region Final. The Pioneers stunned Assumption College in their opening game of the tournament on a buzzer-beater by Alexis Peters.

In 2014, LIU Post baseball pitcher Jake DeCarli became the program’s first All-American since 2007 (Joe Mare).

The LIU Post softball team has won four NCAA Division II East Region Championships – all under Jamie Apicella’s watch. They came in 2007, 2008, 2011 and 2014.

Danielle Valenza is currently on pace to reach 1,000 kills by the conclusion of her junior year. She would be the first player since Makamae Namahoe (1,237 kills) accomplished the feat from 2010-13.

The LIU Post wrestling team has had a total of 17 grapplers receive All-America recognition. Most recently, that honor went to Joe Calderone in 2015, who is a two-time qualifier for the NCAA Division II National Championships.

Sean Binckes holds the LIU Post football record with four touchdown receptions in a single game (Saint Anselm, 2013).

Patrice Walker is the only LIU Post women’s basketball player to score more than 2,000 points. She scored 2,051 points from 1977-81.

The LIU Post softball team has had the East Coast Conference Pitcher of the Year each of the last three seasons (Liz Weber – 2014; Ashley Martin – 2015; Hannah Olshevski – 2016).

Rachel Ringor holds the LIU Post volleyball record with 636 digs in a single season.

In 2008-09, the LIU Post men’s basketball team had their best finish (30-1) in program history, winning 30 straight games, en route to reaching the NCAA Division II Elite Eight.

The LIU Post men’s lacrosse team has won three NCAA Division II National Championships – 1996, 2009 & 2010.

Ian Smart is the only player in LIU Post football history to rush for over 2,000 yards in a single season and he did it twice. In 2001, he ran for 2,536. He followed that up with 2,023 yards in 2002.

Jackie Sileo holds the record for most career points across all three divisions of NCAA women’s lacrosse (564).

Susanne Vistnes holds the LIU Post women’s soccer career records for points (166) and goals (67). Her 32 assists are second on the all-time list.

The LIU Post women’s golf team captured its first tournament win in 2015-16, earning a first-place finish at the Revolutionary Collegiate Golf Classic.

Jonathan Schmidt holds the LIU Post men’s basketball record for most points in a career (1,980).

Head Football Coach Bryan Collins is the program’s all-time winningest coach. He has won 130 career games and boasts an all-time winning percentage of .657 going into the 2016 season.

Ron Stonitsch remains the cross country program’s only NCAA Division II National Champion. He won the title with a time of 24:53 in 1969.

Shannon Rideout became the first student-athlete in LIU Post women’s swimming history to qualify for the NCAA Division II National Championships in 2006.

Head Men’s Soccer Coach Andreas Lindberg is the all-time winningest coach in program history. He has compiled 103 wins and led the Pioneers to back-to-back NCAA Division II East Region Championships in 2014 and 2015.

Keliann Margiotta is the LIU Post field hockey all-time leader in career assists with 37.

The LIU Post wrestling team has been represented at the NCAA Division II National Championships a total of 22 times. The Pioneers ran qualifying streaks from 1964-70 and 1972-82.

Eivind Austboe holds the LIU Post men’s soccer record for most goals (65) and most points (149) in a career.

Jim Ruocchio hit .436 with 18 home runs and 65 RBIs in 1991. His home run total is tied for the single-season record and his RBI mark is the most in one season at LIU Post.

Since 2014, the LIU Post Department of Athletics has adopted nine varsity sports – men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field, women’s bowling, equestrian, women’s fencing, women’s golf and wrestling.
