The LIU Post dance team performs at all home football and basketball games. In addition to these games, the dancers are required to be at many functions, ranging from pep rallies to charity events.

Members of the LIU Post dance team are excellent ambassadors of LIU Post and the Department of Athletics. The team also travels to nationals in Florida every spring for the National Championship! We are currently ranked fourth in the nation in the Jazz and Hip Hop divisions.

Tryouts for the team are held in the late spring each year. Incoming freshmen, transfer students, or anyone enrolled in LIU Post is eligible to tryout.

All team members selected in April will have practices during the summer and attend a mandatory college dance camp prior to classes starting in the fall. During the season, which runs from August to April, practices are held about three times a week.

Scholarships are available for LIU Post dance team members. Our team gives you an opportunity to be a part of the spirit of LIU Post at many athletic events. It is an opportunity to meet people of all ages and to work as a team for a goal. Being a part of the LIU Post dance team will give you great memories during your college years.
