WEST BABYLON, N.Y. – After helping the LIU Post women's bowling team to a fourth-place finish at the Red Flash Invitational, the East Coast Conference announced freshman Rhianna Smith as the league's Rookie of the Week on Wednesday, Jan. 30.
 
Smith led the Pioneers with a 191.5 scoring average during the traditional format and a 17.24 average during the baker format. On Friday, Smith posted a 42.4-percent strike percentage and a 38.6-percent strike percentage on Saturday. During the traditional format, the rookie rolled a team-best game of 225 against Mount Saint Mary's University, helping LIU Post to an 898-852 victory.
 
The Green and Gold return to action on Friday, Feb. 1 at the Golden Bear Classic hosted by Kutztown University.
