MANSFIELD, Mass. – Sophomore goalkeeper Rachel Vellis of the LIU Post field hockey team was named Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week, as announced by the league Tuesday.


 
Vellis finished with eight saves in the Pioneer's 2-1 win over Adelphi on Sept. 15 at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.
 
She has 17 saves on the season and has a save percentage of .630.
 
The Pioneers are back in action at 4:00 p.m. against Southern Connecticut State University  Jess Dow Field in New Haven, Connecticut.
