NFHCA RELEASE
 
GILBERT, Ariz. – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced its National Academic Squad Tuesday morning and 10 members of the LIU Post field hockey team were featured.
 
In order to gain recognition, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.3 or higher in the first semester of the 2018-19 academic year.
 
Seniors Alexis Zaino, Bailey Martin and Molly Cunha earned recognition for the fourth time in their careers. Juniors Taylor Brodsky and Sarah Anthony along with sophomores Rachel Vellis and Shelby Card also earned a place on the squad. Freshmen Emma Braeckmans, Lindsey Spindel and Marybeth Greenberg rounded out the Pioneer honorees.
 
LIU Post also earned the Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division II National Academic Team Award for the 16th-straight year on Tuesday, March 12.
