MANSFIELD, Mass. – LIU Post senior forward
Kaycee Zelkovsky earned Northeast-10 Field Hockey Excellence honors for her performance on the field and in the classroom, the league office announced March 1.
Zelkovsky has had four outstanding academic years at LIU Post, compiling a 3.94-grade point average as a business major. During her career, she was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Squad three times and was named an NFHCA Scholar of Distinction as a junior. This fall she garnered a perfect 4.0 GPA while also helping to lead the Pioneers to an appearance in the Division II National Championship.
Starting in all 23 contests, Zelkovsky tallied 14 goals and added 13 assists for 41 points this season. Her 14 goals ranked second on the team and fourth in the NE10, while the 13 assists tied for the team-lead and was the second-most among NE10 players.
