Emily Miller and sophomore
Sammy Bell of the LIU Post field hockey team were honored for their outstanding seasons Tuesday as the duo were honored as Synapse Sports All-Americans. Miller was a first team honoree and Bell was named to the second team.
Miller competed in the NFHCA Senior Game on Saturday, Dec. 1 and was named to the NE10 All-Conference First Team. She holds the program record in points with 213 and goals with 91. Miller was second nationally in points and points per game with 65 and 3.61 average. She led NCAA Division II in assists per game with 0.83 and tied for the lead in assists with 15. Her 1.39 goals per game ranked second in the nation and her 25 goals were third.
Bell was named to NE10 All-Conference First Team and finished second on the team, sixth in the NE10 and eighth in the nation in goals with 16. She had 39 points which was second on the team, sixth in the NE10 and ninth in the nation while she was second the team, sixth in the NE10 tied for seventh in the nation in assists with seven.
