BRONX, N.Y. –  The LIU Post men's & women's cross country teams competed at the Metropolitan Championships at Van Cortlandt Park Friday.
 
Competing against nine NCAA Division I programs, the Pioneer women finished 11th with 232 points.
 
Freshman Margaret McKeever was the top LIU Post finisher as she clocked in at 21:24.8 seconds to finish 52nd in the 5K. Junior Alexandria Okon finished 55th in 21:48.3 seconds and freshman Anita Mikowski finished 56th in 21:53.1 seconds.
 
Also competing for LIU Post was senior Katie Schillachi (22.15.0), senior Kathryn Elnick (22.22.6) and junior Nicolette Agostinacchio (24:03.4).

On the men's side in the five-mile  junior Jeffrey Reyes finished 67th, sophomore Andrew Gleave finished 74th, sophomore Joe Dorso finished 87th and senior Lance Edwards finished 88th. Men's times were not provided due to a power outage.
