WEST BABYLON, N.Y. – A two-victory weekend for senior Talya Williams earned the Schenectady native her second East Coast Conference (ECC) Athlete of the Week honor, as announced by the conference office Jan. 16.
 
Williams had two impressive races on Saturday, Jan. 13 at the 36th Annual Yale Intercollegiate Track Classic at the Coxe Cage. In her first event, Williams took first place in the one-mile run with a time of 5:04.04. Her second event earned a more convincing victory, as Williams pulled away by a 16-second margin in the 3,000-meter run, crossing the finish line in 10:21.37.
 
The LIU Post women's indoor track and field team returns to action on Friday, Jan. 19 when they participate in the Ramapo College Season Opener at The Armory in New York City.
