CHANDLER, Ariz. (Mar. 14, 2017) - A total of 13 members of the LIU Post field hockey team have been selected to the 2016 Zag Field Hockey/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division II National Academic Squad, it was announced Tuesday.
The NFHCA Division II National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes, who achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 or higher in the first semester of the 2016-17 academic year.
Seniors
Ericka Parks (Nesconset, N.Y.),
Melissa Quintanilla (Rome, N.Y.) and
Savanah Cummings (Midlothian, Va.) all earned the nod for the fourth time in their collegiate careers.
Meanwhile, junior
Kaycee Zelkovsky (Lambertville, N.J.) was tabbed as an NFHCA Division II Scholar of Distinction. It marked the third-straight year that she received the honor, after posting a 4.0 grade-point average in the Fall 2016 term.
