GREENSBURG, Pa. (Jan. 4, 2017) - The LIU Post wrestling team recorded three falls Wednesday in a tightly-contested 24-22 victory over Seton Hill University at the Katherine Mabis McKenna Center.

Trailing 22-18 in the final bout of the match, junior heavyweight James Louison (Hauppauge, N.Y.) pinned Dylan Davis (Delmont, Pa.) in 3:57 to send the Pioneers (5-2) to the win.

The green and gold earlier built as much as a 15-6 lead, after seniors Tyler Walsh (West Islip, N.Y.) and T.J. Fabian (Wading River, N.Y.) earned back-to-back falls at 141 and 149, respectively.

Freshman Anthony Sparacio (North Babylon, N.Y.) secured a 10-5 decision over Tyler Kenney (Smock, Pa.) at the 133-lb. weight class. Junior Ed Ramirez, Jr. (Massapequa, N.Y.) added a 6-2 win versus Tanner Druck (Seven Valleys, Pa.) in the 165-lb. bout.

Head Coach Joe Patrovich and the Pioneers return to the mat Sunday (Jan. 8), when they host East Stroudsburg University, Duke University and the College of Mount Saint Vincent in the LIU Post Duals at 9:30 a.m. in Brookville, N.Y.
