MANSFIELD, Mass. (Sept. 26, 2016) - On Monday, the Northeast-10 Conference gave out its weekly field hockey awards, and LIU Post sophomore forward/midfielder
Emily Miller (Bridgewater, N.J.) was named the league's player of the week.
For Miller, it is the second time this season that she has been tabbed as the NE-10 Player of the Week. She received the honor on Sept. 12, after a three-goal showing against then-No. 3 West Chester.
Miller fueled the Pioneer offense with six points (2 G, 2 A) in a pair of contests last week. She tallied two goals and added an assist in a 3-0 victory over fifth-ranked Stonehill on Saturday (Sept. 24).
Through six games, Miller currently ranks second in the NE-10 in goals (7) and points (16). Her four game-winners are tops amongst the league's goal-scorers.
Miller and her LIU Post side return to action Thursday (Sept. 29), when they welcome in Pace University for a non-conference tilt at 4 p.m. at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium in Brookville, N.Y.
