CHANDLER, Ariz. (Sept. 20, 2016) - Following a 4-0 start to the season, the LIU Post field hockey team has skyrocketed to No. 2 in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division II Poll, released Tuesday.
The Pioneers, who are off to their best start since 2013, remain the only undefeated team in the country. Their current ranking is the highest in program history.
East Stroudsburg continued to stay atop the poll, tallying 199 points and nine first-place votes. LIU Post followed with 176 points and eight first-place nods.
The Pioneers entered the week ranked in the Top-5 nationally in goals-against average (0.72), shutouts per game (0.5) and penalty corners per game (10.5).
Individually, senior midfielder
Steph Mocerino (Andover, N.J.) currently places second in Division II in assists per game (0.75), while sophomore forward/midfielder
Emily Miller (Bridgewater, N.J.) ranks third amongst the nation's leaders in goals per game (1.25) and fifth in points per game (2.5).

Raenee Savin and her LIU Post squad return to action Wednesday (Sept. 21), when they host Assumption College in a Northeast-10 Conference clash at 4 p.m. at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium in Brookville, N.Y.
