CHANDLER, Ariz. (Sept. 15, 2016) - LIU Post sophomore forward
Emily Miller (Bridgewater, N.J.) has been named the Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division II Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced Wednesday.
Miller secured the honor by leading the Pioneers to a 5-2 win over No. 3 West Chester last Wednesday (Sept. 7). She tallied her first collegiate hat trick in the victory, including two goals in a span of 1:58 to put LIU Post in front for good.
Through three games, Miller currently leads the team with four goals and eight points on the season.
Miller and the No. 7 Pioneers return to action Saturday (Sept. 17), when they open Northeast-10 Conference play in North Andover, Mass. at Merrimack College at noon.
