CHANDLER, Ariz. (Mar. 22, 2016) - A total of 12 members of the LIU Post field hockey team were named to the 2015 ZAG Field Hockey/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division II National Academic Squad on Tuesday.
The NFHCA National Academic Squad program recognizes those collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 or higher in the fall semester of the 2015-16 academic year.
LIU Post's repeat honorees included four-time selection
Keliann Margiotta (Sewell, N.J.). Other repeaters were senior
Heidi Schaffner (West Long Branch, N.J.), juniors
Ericka Parks (Nesconset, N.Y.) and
Melissa Quintanilla (Rome, N.Y.) and sophomore
Kaycee Zelkovsky (Lambertville, N.J.).
Junior
Savanah Cummings (Midlothian, Va.) and freshmen
Molly Cunha (North Easton, Mass.),
Ariana Franz (Nesconset, N.Y.),
Julie Gysels (Boom, Belgium),
Bailey Martin (Honesdale, Pa.),
Margaret Pepe (Port Washington, N.Y.) and
Alexis Zaino (Westbury, N.Y.) also landed spots on the NFHCA National Academic Squad.
