MANSFIELD, Mass. (Nov. 2, 2016) - The Northeast-10 Conference released its 2016 All-NE-10 Field Hockey Team on Wednesday, and LIU Post had three players recognized.
Sophomore forward/midfielder
Emily Miller (Bridgewater, N.J.) received All-NE-10 first-team honors, while senior midfielder
Steph Mocerino (Andover, N.J.) and freshman midfielder
Arantxa Rosainz Caloca (Guadalajara, Mexico) were named to the second-team.
Miller, a three-time NE-10 Offensive Player of the Week in 2016, is currently the league's second-leading scorer with 36 points (16 G, 4 A). She is tied for the conference lead in game-winning goals (7), as well.
Additionally, Miller, who has two hat tricks to her credit, places fourth in Division II in goals per game and points per game, averaging clips of 1.0 and 2.25, respectively.
Mocerino and Rosainz Caloca have helped to anchor a defensive unit that has limited the opposition to the fewest goals (16) in the NE-10 this season.
Mocerino is also third on the team in scoring with 16 points (5 G, 6 A), while Rosainz Caloca, an All-NE-10 Rookie Team selection, ranks fourth with 12 points (5 G, 2 A).
The Pioneers are back in action Friday (Nov. 4), when they face No. 6 Stonehill College in an NE-10 Championship semifinal at 1 p.m. at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium in Brookville, N.Y.
