Margiotta Earns NE-10 Academic All-Conference Honors

MANSFIELD, Mass. (Feb. 5, 2015) - LIU Post field hockey standout Keliann Margiotta (Sewell, N.J.) has been named to the Northeast-10 Fall 2014 Academic All-Conference Team, as announced by the NE-10 on Thursday.

Margiotta put together a prolific 2014 campaign, garnering NFHCA and Synapse Sports First-Team All-America accolades. She was dubbed the Northeast-10 Conference and Synapse Sports Offensive Player of the Year, as well.

Margiotta was the country's leading goal- and point-getter, amassing totals of 33 and 82, respectively. Additionally, the Sewell native averaged the second-most assists (0.73) in the nation, while finding the back of the cage for a team-leading eight game-winners.

The junior forward has also excelled in the classroom, boasting a 3.58 cumulative grade-point average with a major in Speech-Language Pathology and a minor in Psychology.
