Savin Selected as NFHCA East Region Coach of the Year

CHANDLER, Ariz. (Dec. 16, 2014) - For the second time in as many seasons, Head Coach Raenee Savin (Nesconset, N.Y.) was recognized as the 2014 4U Field Hockey/NFHCA East Region Coach of the Year, it was revealed Tuesday.

In her 12th season at the helm, the back-to-back Northeast-10 Conference Coach of the Year led the Pioneers to an 18-4 overall record, an NE-10 regular-season title and a return to the NCAA Division II National Championship game.

The green and gold placed as high as No. 4 in the NFHCA Top-10 Poll in the regular season. Statistically, LIU Post boasted a respective No. 1 and No. 2 ranking in all of Division II for scoring average and scoring margin.

The 4U Field Hockey/NFHCA Division II National Coach of the Year will be announced at the NFHCA Coaches Recognition Luncheon on Friday, Jan. 16 in Providence, R.I.
