Brendan Schroeder completed his first season as an assistant coach with the LIU Post men's lacrosse program during the 2019 season. 

Schroeder joined the LIU Post coaching staff in Fall 2018 following a two-year stint at Lynn University.
 
During his time at Lynn, Schroeder helped guide the Fighting Knights to their first victories against top-10 opponents when the team defeated Adelphi University in 2017 and Belmont Abbey College in 2018, leading to the school’s highest-ranking at No. 11 in the nation.
 
Prior to joining Lynn, Schroeder served as an assistant at Virginia Military Institute in 2016.
 
As a player, Schroeder was a three-year starter at the University of Massachusetts as a midfielder. Serving as a defensive midfielder, he scored six career goals and added nine assists throughout his career and garnered a spot in the NEILA East-West All-Star Game. Schroeder also played one season at the Naval Academy Prepatory School. In high school, he was named the New York State Catholic League Midfielder of the Year as a senior and was tabbed as the No. 36 midfielder by Inside Lacrosse in 2010. In 2009, he helped propel Team Long Island to a championship at the Under Armour Games.
 
Schroeder graduated from UMass with a degree in sociology in 2015.
