Vanessa Smith completed her seventh season with the Pioneers. Smith joined the LIU Post women’s basketball coaching staff following a seven-year stint as assistant coach for the New York Institute of Technology women’s basketball program.

She serves as Director of Basketball Operations for the Pioneers, and is primarily responsible for all fundraising and community service initiatives. Smith is an alumnus of NYIT, spending her collegiate career as a two-sport athlete, participating in both basketball and track and field.

She graduated in May of 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences-Psychology. She later completed her M.P.S. in Human Relations-Clinical Counseling from NYIT in 2003.
