NCBWA RELEASE

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) tabbed the LIU Post baseball team at No. 4 in the latest installment of its East Region Rankings Monday.
 
Earning 62 points to move up from No. 5 to No. 4, LIU Post finished with a 4-1 record last week.
 
The Pioneers completed a series sweep against Saint Thomas Aquinas College on Monday, April 1 with a 3-1 victory at the LIU Post Baseball Stadium then followed with a doubleheader sweep over Mercy College on Saturday, April 6 at home. The Pioneers prevailed 10-4 in game one and 7-2 in game two.
 
While LIU Post suffered a 14-3 setback to Mercy on Sunday April 7 at Mercy Field, the Pioneers bounced back in game two and shut out the Mavericks, 7-0.
