ECC RELEASE

WEST BABYLON, N.Y. –
The East Coast Conference (ECC) announced its outdoor track & field all-conference honorees Friday afternoon the LIU Post men's & women's track & field teams garnered selection 19 times.
 
On the women's side, the Pioneers earned eight first-team selections. Junior Kaitlyn Klein earned first-team honors in the discus, shot put and hammer throw while sophomore Alyssa Farrell was named to the first-team in the javelin and hammer throw. Rounding out LIU Post's women named to the first-team was sophomore Kelly Holownia, who was honored in the triple jump.
 
The team of sophomore Natayly Ramirez, freshman Maddie Dubose, sophomore Jacqueline Ginty and junior Alexandria Okon were named to the first-team in the 4x400 meter relay while Okon also gained selection in the 800 meters.
 
Earning selection to the second-team was Jacqueline Ginty in the 100 meters and freshman Margaret McKeever in the 3,000 meter steeplechase.  Sophomore Kayra Theodore was named to the second-team in the triple jump.
 
The Pioneers also gained recognition in a pair of relays; sophomore Kathryn Ginty, Okon, sophomore Nicolette Agostinacchio and Jacqueline Ginty in the 4x100 meter relay and Okon, Agostinacchio, senior Kaitie Schillaci and McKeever in the 4x800 meters.
 
The Pioneer men earned two selections on the first team; junior Justin Ortega in the 100 meter hurdles and freshman DeAndre Smith in the high jump.
 
Sophomore Destyn Harding earned three of second-team selections after being tabbed in the 100 and 200 meter dash events. He  was also part of the 4x100 meter relay team that earned second-team honors along with freshman Ismail Abdullah, sophomore Michael Krebs and Ortega.
