THE FIRST LOOK
LIU Post overcame a six-point deficit during the ECC Quarterfinals to take down No. 5 seed Roberts Wesleyan by a 74-70 final. Junior
Mikaiya Moore drilled a career-high four three-pointers as part of 18 second-half points during the win. The Pioneers knocked down 10 three's as a team to advance to the semifinal round for the second-consecutive season.
The top-seeded Spartans earned a bye during the quarterfinal round after earning the regular-season championship with a 26-3 overall record and 17-1 mark in ECC play.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Saturday marks the 45th all-time meeting between the two squads, with the Pioneers holding a 23-21 advantage in the series. This season, Saint Thomas Aquinas had the upper hand, taking both contests. During the first game, the Spartans hit a last-second jumper to earn the victory before earning an 85-65 win on the home court in February.
LIU POST'S LAST TIME OUT
Moore drilled a career-high four three pointers to lead the LIU Post women's basketball team past Roberts Wesleyan College, 74-70 inside the Pratt Recreation Center during the ECC Women's Basketball Championship First Round on Wednesday, March 6.
Moore posted a team-best 20 points to go with seven rebounds, two assists, and two blocks. Moore tallied 18 of her 20 points during the second half, helping the Pioneers overcome a six-point halftime deficit (33-27) to reach the semifinal round of the ECC postseason tournament for the second-consecutive season.

Sasha Patterson added 12 points, with Patterson grabbing a team-best eight rebounds. LIU Post drilled 10 three-point baskets for the seventh time this season and shot 41-percent (26-44) overall from the field. The Green and Gold outrebounded the visiting Redhawks by a 39-32 margin, including 17 offensive rebounds.
SAINT THOMAS AQUINAS' LAST TIME OUT
The Saint Thomas Aquinas College women's basketball team closed the regular season with an 80-63 East Coast Conference victory over Molloy College at Aquinas Hall. The Spartans, ranked #5 in the East Region, head to the playoffs with a 10-game win streak, improving to 26-3, 17-1, securing the top seed for the ECC Tournament. STAC has also won 21-straight at Aquinas Hall and will open their defense of last season's East Coast Conference Championship at the University of Bridgeport on Saturday, March 9, in a noon tip against the winner of Wednesday's game between #4 LIU Post and #5 Roberts Wesleyan. Molloy failed to qualify for the post-season, completing its campaign with a record of 10-18, 5-13.

Tickets will be sold to all fans in attendance for Saturday's first round matchup. General admission tickets are available for $10 and senior citizens, children, and college students with valid I.D. will be admitted for $5.
