WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The LIU Post men's and women's track & field teams resumed their outdoor seasons at the Monmouth University Invitational on Friday, March 29 and Saturday, March 30 at Kessler Stadium.
 
The Pioneer women finished ninth out of 26 teams and featured several standout performances.  In the relays, the team of junior 
Alexandria Okon, senior 
Kaitie Schillaci, sophomore 
Nataly Ramirez and junior 
Nicolette Agostinacchio earned a second-place finish in the 4x800 meters. In the 4x100-meters the Pioneers finished sixth after sophomore 
Kathryn Ginty, Okon, Agostinacchio and sophomore 
Jacqueline Ginty clocked in at 51.12.
 
Freshman 
Margaret McKeever finished third in the steeplechase (12:19.13) while 
Jacqueline Ginty won her heats in the 100 meters (12.98) and 200 meters (26.64) and  Freshman Madison DuBose posted a personal-best time of 1:02.99 seconds in the 400 meters.
 
LIU Post also performed well in the throws after sophomore 
Alyssa Farrell finished fourth in the javelin (38.18), junior 
Kaitlyn Klein posted a personal-best mark of 38.97 meters in the discus.
 
On the men's side, sophomore 
Destyn Harding won his heats in the 100 meters (11.1) and 200 meters (22.91). Sophomore 
Troy Benson also took first in his 400-meter and 200-meter hears with times of 54.19 and 23.77. Freshman 
Andrew Ayroso posted a personal-best time of 56.38 in the 400-meters.
 
In the 4x100-meter relay, Benson, freshman 
Albert Wheeler, Ayroso and sophomore 
Steve Chambers posted a time of 45.38.
