AMHERST, N.Y. – A 31-point, ten-rebound performance from sophomore
Alonzo Ortiz-Traylor could not get the LIU Post men's basketball team over the line Friday night as it suffered a 108-63 setback against No. 15 Daemen College inside Lumsden Gymnasium.
Ortiz-Traylor's 31 points and ten rebounds were game-highs; he also added a game-high four steals and three blocks. His double-double tally rises to ten on the season and he has now eclipsed the 30-point mark nine times in 2019.
Freshman
Kendell Ogilvie added nine points, five rebounds and three steals while freshman
Nah'Jel Sands had 10 points and two assists. Redshirt-senior
Neil Feminella chipped in five points, three steals and two assists.
LIU Post had difficulty containing the Wildcats' offensive firepower from the outset as Daemen raced out to a 9-0 lead with 17:36 on the clock and took a 50-32 lead into halftime. The Pioneers were unable to mount a comeback in the second half as the Wildcats ran away with the game, prevailing 108-63.
