FLUSHING, N.Y. – The LIU Post women's tennis team could not overcome the powerful lineup of Queens College Saturday, falling to the Knights 7-0.
 
Senior Shanice Arthur and sophomore Veronika Koudelkova battled Reehan Rashad and Luisa Auffarth at No. 1 doubles but came up short, 6-3. The Knights swept Nos. 2 and 3 doubles to earn the opening point of the match.
 
After losing the opening set 6-0, Arthur battled back during set two against Rashad before succumbing 6-4 at No. 1 singles. Junior Charlotte Hynes and sophomore Christina Jud took two games during their singles matches on court three and four, but the Knights took each singles match in straight sets for the 7-0 victory.
 
The Pioneers return to the home court on Thursday, Oct. 4 when they host Concordia College at 3:00 p.m.
