COLCHESTER, Vt. – The LIU Post field hockey team won its fourth-straight game Saturday as it defeated Saint Michael's College, 3-1 at Duffy Field.
The Pioneers improved their all-time record to 7-5 against Saint Michael's, season record to 4-2, and Northeast 10 record to 4-1.
"Today was a great road win for us," said head coach
Raenee Savin. "We had three different scorers and one from freshman
Maddie Leitner to get it started. It makes for a more enjoyable long ride home and a nice lead into a home game on Monday."

Emily Miller and
Tarryn Morris along with Leitner led the Pioneers to victory, while junior
Taylor Brodsky added an assist. Sophomore goalkeeper
Rachel Vellis finished with five saves.
The Pioneers out-shot Saint Michael's 21-11 and recorded 13 shots on goal to six by the Purple Knights.
Leitner scored the first goal of her career after she shot from the left side after the initial rebound at 21:48 to put the Pioneers on the scoreboard first. Miller quickly added to LIU Post's lead on a rebound off a long pass at 22:24 and the Pioneers took a 2-0 lead into halftime.
Saint Michael's was the first to score in the in the second half as they scored their first goal of the game at 45:34 and narrowed the Pioneers' lead to 2-1. LIU Post responded with its third goal of the game at 63:10 as Morris scored on a line drive shot from the top of the arc into the bottom right corner with an assist coming from Brodsky.
