FULL LIST OF TEAM ACADEMIC AWARD RECIPIENTS

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced the LIU Post women's volleyball team as a recipient of the AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2017-18 season Monday.
 
The 25-year old award recognizes collegiate and high school volleyball teams that demonstrated outstanding performance in the classroom during the school year by accumulating a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average or higher on a 4.0 scale.
 
The Pioneers boast a 3.509 team GPA, the third-highest team total at LIU Post. 15 student-athletes posted a 3.0 GPA or higher this spring, including 11 student-athletes with a 3.5 GPA or higher. Even more impressively, 16 student-athletes posted a 3.0 or better during the fall season of competition.
 
The East Coast Conference recognized junior outside hitter Rachel Londot as the conference's Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year earlier this spring, as the criminal justice and forensic science dual major carries a 3.97 cumulative GPA while also garnering ECC Player of the Year accolades on the court.
