WEST BABYLON, N.Y. – The East Coast Conference honored the LIU Post Pioneers as the recipients of the conference Commissioner's Cup for the sixth consecutive year as announced at the league's annual awards dinner June 4.
The award, created during the 1994-95 season, awards points based on regular season and postseason finishes in each sponsored sport. The Green and Gold appeared in all 17 sponsored ECC Championships, capturing three conference titles in women's lacrosse, men's soccer, and softball.
Under the guidance of first-year Director of Athletics,
Debbie DeJong, the Pioneers compiled 104.5 points, 17.25 points more than second-place St. Thomas Aquinas College and the most points since former member Adelphi University amassed 106.5 points during the 2008-09 season.
