BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – The LIU Post equestrian team posted a third-place overall finish at the Zone Championships, narrowly missing a qualification for the national finals.
The Pioneers finished tied for second with St. Lawrence University after the final class, but ultimately dropped the tiebreaker after comparing first and second-place finishes between the two schools. Two total teams qualify for nationals out of the 60 in the zone, putting LIU Post just outside the cut. The event was a major success, however, as the Pioneers recorded their highest finish in program history.
