2018 SCHEDULE
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – Head coach
Bryan Collins has announced the release of the 2018 LIU Post football schedule, a slate which will feature 10 consecutive weeks of action this season.
The Pioneers will have a bye during week one in 2018, and will battle Shippensburg University in the team's single non-conference slate during the Northeast-10 bye week during week six, giving Pioneer fans 10 straight Saturdays of action throughout the fall. The schedule features an even split of five home games and five games on the road, including a potentially huge matchup on the home turf in week 11.
Following the bye in the opening week, the Pioneers open conference play in week two against American International College at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium. After taking to the road against Stonehill College for week three, the Pioneers return home to face last year's NE-10 third-place finisher, Bentley University.
The Green and Gold head on the road for consecutive weeks in week four and five, as the Pioneers battle Merrimack College on September 29 and head to Pennsylvania for the non-conference tilt with the Raiders October 6. It will be a true "homecoming" for the Pioneers when they return to Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium on October 13, as LIU Post hosts St. Anselm College on homecoming week six.
Pace University will come to town on October 20 for the only back-to-back home games on the schedule before the Pioneers head back on the road for two big NE-10 matchups against defending champion Assumption College on October 27 and Southern Connecticut State in the Elm City on November 3.
The regular season closes out in what could prove to be a huge NE-10 matchup on Senior Day when LIU Post plays host to the University of New Haven in a matchup of perennial conference contenders.
