WEST BABYLON, N.Y. – Sophomore Katie Humhej earned her first career East Coast Conference weekly honor after an outstanding performance against Wilmington University the league announced March 26.
 
Humhej put together one of the best performances of her career against the Wildcats on March 23. The Canadian product tossed eight strong innings, matching her career-high in strikeouts with 10 while allowing just two unearned runs. The performance was good enough to earn her the win, giving her three victories inside the circle this season.
 
The Pioneers will look to keep the momentum going in their favor when they host St. Thomas Aquinas College to begin ECC play on Tuesday, March 26 at 2:30 p.m.
