FULL NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE RELEASE

MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference announced four members of the LIU Post football team as major award winners and tabbed 18 different student-athletes as all-conference honorees during the all-NE10 release on Monday, Nov. 19.
 
Head coach Bryan Collins garnered Coach of the Year recognition, while the conference tabbed redshirt-senior Jake Carlock as the Defensive Player of the Year, graduate student Kevin Petit-Frere as the Defensive Lineman of the Year, and redshirt-senior Chris Coles as the Offensive Lineman of the Year.
 
Collins helped guide the Pioneers to its second unbeaten regular season in three years, capturing the NE10 championship in the process with a 17-13 victory against the University of New Haven in week 11. Carlock and Petit-Frere helped lead the defensive unit, with Carlock registering a team-best 67 tackles and 11 pass breakups, while also recording four sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries. Petit-Frere was dominant on the defensive line all season, tallying a league-best 11.5 sacks to go with 15.5 total tackles for loss.
 
Joining the duo of major award winners on the all-conference defensive unit was redshirt-junior Abel Joseph and sophomore Nazir Streater on the first team, redshirt-seniors Chika Ewulu and Kasim Thomas, along with senior Connor Farrell on the second team, and redshirt-junior Zach Cofrancesco on the third team. This group of standouts helped the Green and Gold limit opposing offenses to just 12.9 points per game, the fifth-best mark in Division II this season. Streater posted one of the best statistical seasons in the country as a defensive back, ranking third in total interceptions (7) and was one of nine players to intercept three passes in a single-game this season. The Pioneer defense also set a program-record by holding separate opponents to zero rushing yards (Shippensburg) and zero passing yards (Pace) in the same season.
 
The offensive line for LIU Post garnered major recognition during the conference awards, as redshirt-senior James Louison (first team), and redshirt-freshmen Ronin Guerra (all-rookie), and Greg Amato (all-rookie) earned all-NE10 accolades. The unit helped set the tone for the Pioneer offense that ranked third in the conference with 30.0 points per game. Redshirt-seniors Michael Richardson and Malik Pierre were two of the most explosive offensive weapons for the Pioneers this season, combining for 20 total touchdowns and just over 200 all-purpose yards per game, leading to first-team all-NE10 recognition. Senior Joey Tolgyesi also earned first team recognition as a placekicker, hitting a league-best 14 field goals and compiling 76 points on the season.
 
The league tabbed graduate student quarterback Chris Laviano as a second team all-conference honoree after leading the league with 2,869 passing yards and ranking second with 23 passing touchdowns. Redshirt-senior Deon Mash and Streater also collected second-team recognition, with Streater earning an offensive accolade as a return specialist to go with his defensive honors. Redshirt-freshman Jonathan DeBique rounded out the Pioneer all-conference honorees with a spot on the all-rookie squad. The Baldwin native posted 398 rushing yards on 77 attempts while also compiling five receptions for 60 yards. DeBique broke the century mark during a win at Southern Connecticut State, tallying 114 yards on 22 carries.
