INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Following a gritty 21-7 victory at Assumption College on Saturday, Oct. 27, the LIU Post football team made a big jump in the NCAA Division II regional rankings as announced by the association on Monday.
The Green and Gold improve to No. 3 in Super Region I after entering the regional rankings at No. 5 last week. LIU Post is one of 12 unbeaten teams in Division II this season along with regional opponents West Chester University, Notre Dame College (Ohio), and Tiffin University.
The Pioneers also jumped two spots in the national poll, improving to No. 19 in the country after extending their win streak to 13 games. LIU Post joined Lenoir-Rhyne University, University of Indianapolis, Texas A&M-Commerce, and Tiffin as teams that moved up two or more spots in this week's poll.
LIU Post will go for a program-record 14th-consecutive victory on Saturday, Nov. 3 when it travels to Southern Connecticut State University for a 12:00 p.m. battle with the Owls.
