OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. – Northern Boulevard belongs to LIU Post after men's soccer blanked the New York Institute of Technology, 2-0 at President's Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 27.

With the win, the Pioneers clinch the No. 2 seed in the East Coast Conference tournament next week and will host Queens College at Pioneer Soccer Park in the conference semifinals on Wednesday, Oct. 31.

It took less than two minutes for senior Vittorio Argeri to find the back of the net with a shot from the right side of the box to give the Pioneers the early 1-0 advantage. The lead doubled during the 29th minute when freshman Anton Ocampo fired a shot from the top of the box to the right post for the final tally of the game, giving the Pioneers their fourth-consecutive victory.

LIU Post held a 12-10 edge in shot attempts, including an 8-5 advantage in shots on goal. Senior goalkeeper Oliver Hessner Hansen made five saves on the day to record the shutout victory.

A full preview of Wednesday's semifinal matchup will be available on www.liupostpioneers.com early next week.
