MANSFIELD, Mass. (Jul. 5, 2017) - After posting a league-best 3.13 grade-point average in the 2016-17 academic year, the LIU Post football team recently won the Northeast-10 Conference Team Academic Excellence Award.
It is the first time in program history that the Pioneers have claimed the honor, ending a three-year run by Bentley University.
This past year, Head Coach
Bryan Collins' squad broke the school's single-season record for wins (12) and cruised to their second Northeast-10 Conference title in three seasons.
The green and gold also had success off the field, as 67 student-athletes were named to the NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll for excelling in the classroom in the Spring 2017 semester.
