NEW YORK, N.Y. (May 26, 2017) - Following one of its best seasons in program history, the LIU Post football team was recently listed at No. 22 in the 2017 Street and Smith's Sports Business Preseason Division II Top-25 Poll.

The Pioneers, who finished second in the Lambert Cup standings in 2016, set a new single-season record for wins last year with a 12-1 record and captured their second Northeast-10 Conference title in three years.

The green and gold also completed their first undefeated regular season since 2002 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division II Championship for the first time in over a decade.

The Pioneers made their debut in the AFCA Division II Poll on Oct. 3 at No. 21 and eventually cracked the nation's Top-10 with a program-best-tying No. 10 ranking on Oct. 31.

Head Coach Bryan Collins and his LIU Post squad kick off the 2017 campaign on Sept. 2, when they host Virginia Union University at 1 p.m. at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium in Brookville.
