Day Two Results

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Mar. 9, 2017)
- The LIU Post women's swimming team had two of its relays take center stage on Thursday at Day Two of the 2017 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships at the CrossPlex in Birmingham.

In the 400-yard medley relay, the Pioneers finished less than a second shy of qualifying for the finals. The foursome of junior Laura Bendfeldt (Grosshansdorf, Germany), sophomores Caitlin Johnstone (Ashburton, New Zealand) and Karis Fuller (London, England) and freshman Tove Sparrman (Upplands Väsby, Sweden) swam a 17th-place time of 3:49.42.

Meanwhile, in the 200-yard freestyle relay, the same group of swimmers raced to a 1:35.10 clocking.

Head Coach Michael Travers and his LIU Post squad return to the pool Friday (Mar. 10) for Day Three of the 2017 NCAA Division II Championships at the CrossPlex in Birmingham.
