2016-17 Senior Perspective: Jared Hall, Men's Basketball

Throughout my time here at LIU Post, I've grown. I've grown as a man, as a student and as an athlete. Which is all that I can ask for.

College was an experience I've looked forward to since I was younger and my older brother left home for college and told me how much fun it was.

I have met so many different people here, and made friendships and bonds that I know will go on beyond my time here at Post.

School wasn't always easy, but it challenged me academically and challenged me as a person and taught me to fight through adversity.

At LIU Post, I figured out the career path that I wanted to pursue, which is criminal justice. In the end, I want to be a detective.

LIU Post was a great place for this decision, because the criminal justice professors here, were and some still are in the criminal justice field, so it's a good experience to get first-hand knowledge from such well-experienced people. To also have an assistant coach that is a detective helps out, as well.

Playing basketball, I've learned to be a team player, how to work well with others and its helped to mold my work ethic.

Here at LIU Post, all of these elements come into play. My coach always preaches, "team, attitude, habits", and it's something that has stuck with me since the first day he said it.
