MANCHESTER, N.H. - The No. 4 LIU Post field hockey squad tacked on another win to their 2017 campaign as they overcame Southern New Hampshire, 4-0, on Saturday. They now improve to a 9- overall record.
The Pioneers struck first at the helm of junior
Emily Miller (Bridgewater, N.J.), as she converted a
Taylor Brodsky (Miller Place, N.Y.) helper in the first half to give the green and gold the advantage.
LIU Post added three more scores in the second half. Freshman
Kate Melvin (Milford, Del.) found the back of the cage for the second time this season off of a Miller assist just two minutes into the latter period, while junior
Tarryn Morris (New Cumberland, Pa.) added to the Pioneer effort with an assist from
Sammy Bell (Milngavie, Glasgow, United Kingdom). Bell would later cap off the green and gold offense with a tally of her own fed by Melvin.
Head Coach
Raenee Savin and LIU Post field hockey returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 10th, when they are set to face Southern Conn. State University in New Haven, Conn. at 7 p.m.
