Women's Soccer Jumps to No. 6 in United Soccer Coaches Rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - In this week's edition of the United Soccer Coaches Poll, the LIU Post women's soccer team moved up four spots from No. 10 to a sixth-best ranking, as released on Tuesday.

The Pioneers enjoyed a 2-0 week at home, shutting out non-conference foe Pace, 3-0, before upending fellow ECC member Roberts Wesleyan, 5-1. 

Kutztown is the new No. 1 this week, with Central Missouri, Western Washington, Grand Valley State, and Flagler rounding out the Top-5. 

Fellow East Region institution Southern New Hampshire moved up from 21 to 18.  The green and gold and the Penmen faced off on Sept. 3 with the green and gold pulling away a 2-1 win.

Next up for LIU Post is a home matchup against American Int'l on Saturday (Oct. 7). The two squads are set to face-off at 12 p.m. at Pioneer Soccer Park.
