Ostermann Earns National Player Of The Week Honor

Kansas City, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches announced its weekly Player of the Week honors on Tuesday afternoon, and amongst the honored was senior Lukas Ostermann of the LIU Post men's soccer team who was named Division II Player of the Week.
Ostermann, who tabbed ECC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon, netted two hat-tricks in two matches last week as the #5 men's soccer team posted a 2-0 record last week. The Saterland, Germany native slotted the game-winning goal and tallied his first collegiate hat trick in LIU Post's 4-1 win over NYIT before banging home his second hat trick in a team-leading 14 goals in a 7-1 rout over Bridgeport on Saturday. Now with a team-leading 33 points on the year, Ostermann ranks second in points and third in goals.
Ostermann and the men's soccer team play in the ECC Championship final on Friday afternoon when they host second-seeded Mercy College. Kick-off is set for 1:00 p.m. at Pioneer Soccer Park. Watch action live
