Women's Swimming Surges Past East Stroudsburg, 190-67

East Stroudsburg, PA – The LIU Post women's swimming team earned a dominant 190-67 victory over non-conference rival East Stroudsburg University on Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Pioneers improve to 2-0 on the year as the Warriors slip to 2-1.
After the 200-yard medley relay team of
Karis Fuller,
Caitlin Johnstone,
Laura Bendfeldt, and
Tove Sparrman took first place (1:48.18) in the meet's first event,
Eline Swensen finished on top in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a 17:56.58 finish.
Fuller (1:56.15) and Bendfeldt (57.53) grabbed first in the 200-yard freestyle and 50-yard freestyle, respectively, in the next two events, and the duo would later scoop up their second first-place finishes of the afternoon in the 200-yard backstroke (2:04.57) and 100-yard backstroke (57.53).
Jackie Tonn's 1:12.85 time in the 100-yard breaststroke and Johnstone's 54.58 finish in the 100-yard free would later yield LIU Post's 10th and 11th first-place finishes of the meet.
The Pioneers return to action on Saturday, November 4 when they travel to take on the University of Bridgeport at 1:00 PM.
