BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Jan. 20, 2017) - The LIU Post women's lacrosse team has been ranked at No. 3 in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division II Preseason Top-20 Poll, announced Thursday.

The Pioneers, who placed sixth in the final Nike/US Lacrosse rankings of 2016, are one of just two programs from the East Coast Conference to be included in the ledger.

Florida Southern topped the preseason tally, with Adelphi following at No. 2. Lindenwood and Le Moyne rounded out the Top-5 of the poll.

The green and gold are slated to clash with four nationally-ranked opponents in 2017. They will face Adelphi (Apr. 15), Le Moyne (Mar. 4), No. 7 NYIT (Apr. 29) and No. 17 Stonehill (Mar. 11).

Head Coach Meghan McNamara and her LIU Post squad open the 2017 campaign on Saturday, Feb. 25, when they host Pace University at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium at noon.
