SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (Sept. 24, 2016) - On Saturday, the LIU Post women's golf team opened play at the Mount Holyoke College Invitational at The Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley.

The Pioneers had four golfers break a score of 80 on Day One, en route to a ninth-place standing.

Graduate Hannah Pohalski (Huntington, N.Y.) carded an 83 to lead the green and gold. Sophomore Natalia Schaefer (St. James, N.Y.) and freshman Shannon Fox (Holbrook, N.Y.) individually recorded an 84 and 85.

Sophomore Abby Snidemiller (Apex, N.C.) shot an 87 in opening-round action. Senior Shelby Townsend (Panora, Iowa) contributed a score of 92.
