CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Sept. 19, 2016) - On Monday, LIU Post junior Talya Williams (Schenectady, N.Y.) was named the East Coast Conference Women's Runner of the Week for the third time in as many weeks.

Williams led the green and gold to a first-place finish at the Monmouth Invitational on Saturday. She won the 5k in 18:40.5, averaging a six-minute mile and beating the second-place runner by six seconds.

Williams and the Pioneers are back in action next Saturday (Oct. 1), when they host the LIU Post Invitational at 9 a.m. in Brookville.
