CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Jul. 20, 2016) - The East Coast Conference revealed the recipients of its Academic Team of Excellence honors for the 2015-16 season Wednesday afternoon, and two LIU Post programs were recognized.

After much success on the field, the men's and women's soccer teams proved to be just as successful in the classroom. The men took home their fourth-straight ECC Academic Team of Excellence Award, given to the squad with the highest cumulative grade-point average in their respective sport. The men finished with an overall team GPA of 3.32. The women's soccer team captured its second-consecutive award with a 3.52 GPA.

"Congratulations to all of the programs that have been recognized as our ECC Academic Teams of Excellence," said ECC Commissioner, Dr. Robert Dranoff. "Of special note is the outstanding job that Molloy did this year with nine teams being honored. Each year, we continue to be so impressed by the work put in by our student-athletes who are committed to excelling in all parts of their lives. We are happy to be able to provide a little bit more recognition for those efforts."
