NORFOLK, Va. (Jun. 15, 2016) - On Wednesday, the LIU Post women's swimming team was recognized as a College Swimming Coaches Association of America Division II Scholar All-America Team for the Spring 2016 semester.
The Pioneers tied Clarion University of Pennsylvania for the sixth-highest grade-point average in Division II at 3.63. That mark also ranked second amongst Metropolitan Conference teams, trailing only University of Bridgeport (3.71).
To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, a program must have achieved a GPA of 3.0 or higher in the specified semester. A total of 61 women's squads from Division II were represented on the list.
During the 2015-16 campaign, LIU Post, which owned a 4-3 record in duals, hoisted its fourth-straight Met Conference title and sent five swimmers to All-America honors at the NCAA Championships.

Joyce Kwok (Middle Village, N.Y.) and freshman
Caitlin Johnstone (Ashburton, New Zealand) individually garnered Metropolitan Conference Swimmer and Rookie of the Meet accolades, while Head Coach
Michael Travers was tabbed as the Coach of the Meet in his inaugural season.
