GRAND LAKE, Colo. (May 9, 2016) - The LIU Post women's lacrosse team has held at No. 5 in Monday's Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Division II Top-20 Poll.

The Pioneers won a pair of close decisions last week against Mercy College (6-2) and Dowling College (7-6), en route to hoisting their second-straight East Coast Conference title.

Senior goaltender Olivia Kirk (Farmingdale, N.Y.) made a combined 14 saves in the two victories, including a game-high eight stops last Thursday (May 5) versus Mercy.

The IWLCA's Top-5 remained unchanged for the third week in a row. Adelphi University continued to top the poll with 400 points and 20 first-place votes. Le Moyne College (377 points) followed at No. 2, while Florida Southern College (358 points) and Lindenwood University (344 points) individually stood pat in third and fourth.

LIU Post opens NCAA Tournament play on Friday (May 13), when they face No. 13 and sixth-seeded University of New Haven in a first-round clash at Le Moyne's Ted Grant Field at 3 p.m. in Syracuse, N.Y.
