INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 8, 2016) - The LIU Post women's lacrosse team learned Sunday that it will be one of the six squads representing the North Region in the upcoming NCAA Division II Championship.
This marks the fourth time in the past five years that the green and gold have qualified for the national tournament.
The Pioneers will travel to Syracuse, N.Y. and play sixth-seeded University of New Haven in a first-round match-up on Friday (May 13). The winner of that game will move on to Saturday (May 14) and play host Le Moyne College in a national quarterfinal contest.
LIU Post is riding a seven-game winning streak that includes a recent 7-6 win over Dowling College in the East Coast Conference Championship.
